Find Sheriff Release Records

To find someone released after a Throckmorton County Sheriff’s Office arrest, first identify the agency that actually held the person. The Sheriff’s Office is the county arrest, transport, and records authority, but it is not documented as an operating public jail. A person may therefore leave one host facility, enter another custody system, or return to the community. A complete Throckmorton County release check follows that chain and pairs the Sheriff’s transport record with the holding jail’s departure record and the proper court disposition.

Throckmorton Sheriff Custody Routes

The official Sheriff page identifies an office, not an operating county jail, and it offers no inmate roster. County records instead document regional jail housing. The executed 2021 agreement allowed Stephens County to accept Throckmorton prisoners when space was available. It was nonexclusive, so Stephens could refuse an intake or require Throckmorton to retrieve a prisoner. A later Sheriff report discussed both Stephens and Young County contract proposals.

That structure changes the meaning of release. Departure from a host jail may be a bond release, sentence completion, dismissal, court order, transfer to another jail, delivery to TDCJ, or transfer to a federal or immigration authority. The Sheriff’s transport material identifies the route. The physical custodian supplies the admission and departure event. The court explains the legal disposition.

Confirm a Throckmorton Release

Begin with the official Sheriff contact page. Give the full name, approximate arrest date, and any case or warrant number. Ask which jail accepted the person, whether that agency still holds the person, and whether a later transfer occurred.

  1. Record the host facility and booking or case number.
  2. Check that facility’s current roster only to establish present custody.
  3. If Stephens is named, search its arrest-date archive and confirm the arresting agency reads Throckmorton County Sheriff.
  4. Ask the host for the departure date, time, type, authorization, and destination.
  5. Obtain the court disposition from the clerk with jurisdiction.

A vendor label of RELEASED proves only that the person left that vendor’s jail record. It does not show that the person entered the community. The broader Throckmorton County released-inmate search explains how county, state, federal, and court records fit together.

Throckmorton Sheriff Records Contact

The Sheriff’s Office is at 108 Pogue Street, P.O. Box 578, Throckmorton, Texas 76483. The main number is 940-849-8855, fax is 940-849-8856, and published office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Emergency service remains 911.

Request from the Sheriff

Ask for the arrest report, transport log, booking referral, receiving facility, transport date, and any return or later transfer destination. Identify the person, arrest-date range, and case or warrant number.

The Sheriff page has a general contact form but no dedicated release-record form, local fee schedule, booking-photo policy, or promised production time. Texas Government Code chapter 552 governs requests. Charges depend on the records, medium, and permitted labor costs, so request electronic copies and an itemized estimate.

Not a Verified County Jail

Calling 108 Pogue Street “the Throckmorton County Jail” would overstate the record. The county source describes the Sheriff’s Office and its law-enforcement role. It does not publish an inmate list, release counter, property-pickup procedure, release door, or release schedule. Those details follow the actual host jail.

If Stephens held the person, its public archive may retain name, booking image, custody label, arrest date, arresting agency, charges, bond fields, and other booking details. It omits the release date, release time, reason, and destination. Those missing facts must come from Stephens Jail and the Sheriff’s transport record.

Regional Throckmorton Jail Housing

The regional arrangement is a core local fact. Stephens was described as a 48-bed facility, but Throckmorton’s agreement made acceptance conditional on space. The 2022 discussion of Young County was a proposal, not proof that Young now holds county prisoners. Search no host county indefinitely without first confirming the custodian.

This person-by-person method prevents two common errors. An absent Stephens result does not prove release, and a Throckmorton arrest does not prove Stephens custody. Exact names, dates, and arresting-agency fields help, but the Sheriff’s routing record remains the starting document.

Throckmorton Transfers to TDCJ

A May 2023 Sheriff report recorded two inmates transported to TDCJ in Abilene. That local event shows why roster disappearance can mean transfer rather than freedom. Once TDCJ receives a sentenced prisoner, its current-only offender search may establish state incarceration after intake. It cannot retrieve a former prisoner after release.

For historical state release, use TDCJ’s email, telephone, or Public Information Act channels. Ask for commitment and release history, actual release type, parole or mandatory-supervision dates, and discharge date. A projected date is not an actual departure record.

Throckmorton Court Release Proof

Jail departure and legal disposition answer different questions. The County Clerk handles misdemeanor and county criminal records, while the District Clerk handles felony and district matters. The Justice of the Peace covers traffic and Class C cases. No public county case-search portal was verified.

Request the docket, bond order, judgment, sentence, commitment, dismissal, release order, or community-supervision order that matches the custody event. Then reconcile its date with the host jail’s physical departure time. A Monday court order and Tuesday jail exit can both be accurate.

Throckmorton Release Record Fields

A focused request should seek the person’s full name and booking number, arrest and admission times, arresting and holding agencies, charges and case identifiers, bond terms, release date and time, release type, and destination. Ask separately for the booking sheet, transport record, release authorization, receiving agency, and booking photograph when needed.

Use the agency’s exact terms. “Released,” “transferred,” “parole,” “mandatory supervision,” and “discharged” describe different events. The best confirmation names who controlled custody, when that control ended, why it ended, and who received the person next.
